For October the challenge is to make some sort of pot hanger and then use it to cook something. For the full run down and to participate you'll have to be a member of the forum which you can find here:

Firepit Outdoors is closed, so all things forum related are now on the official Adirondack Bushcraft Brothers™ forum.
It's been a while since I did any backyard bushcraft, so This was a good was to do this challenge and make my lunch.
I went down the bank into my little square of woods and harvested two branches. I cut two y sticks and one cross bar. Put a piece of cinder block down for safety and made a rotisserie type pot hanger by shoving the y sticks into the ground on each side and the cross bar in the y sticks.
I used a canteen stove in a different way then they are generally used, upside down with the wood in side so I could keep my canteen and pot from sitting in anything and be suspended by the pot hanger. Then, I cooked ramen and used the press to mase come coffee. Best ramen I've had in months!
